Review: No One Needs to Know by Amanda Grace

No One Needs to Know by Amanda Grace

Genres: Young Adult, Contemporary Romance, LGBT
Publication Date: September 8th, 2014

Sometimes, the cost of love is too steep.

Olivia's twin brother, Liam, has been her best friend her whole life. But when he starts dating, Olivia is left feeling alone, so she tries to drive away Liam's girlfriends in an effort to get her best friend back.

But she meets her match in Zoey, Liam's latest fling. A call-it-like-she-sees-it kind of girl, Zoey sees right through Olivia's tricks. What starts as verbal sparring between the two changes into something different, however, as they share their deepest insecurities and learn they have a lot in common. Olivia falls for Zoey, believing her brother could never get serious with her. But when Liam confesses that he's in love with Zoey, Olivia has to decide who deserves happiness more: her brother or herself?
Love triangles and cheating are my biggest turn-off in books. No One Needs to Know had a lot stacked against it before I even turned to the first page. But I was completely shocked and proven absolutely wrong. Love triangles can work whenever authors handle them with finesse like Amanda Grace did. I was absolutely blown away by this book. I loved it!

The book switches back and forth between Olivia and Zoey. I daresay if Liam's point of view had been used, I'd be less enthusiastic because of the circumstances. But I really grew close to the characters of Olivia and Zoey. I was skeptical about Olivia at first. It seemed like she was going to be a tangle of stereotypes, but like the rest of this book, she surprised me. It was really easy to root for Olivia and the relationship forming between her and Zoey.

No One Needs to Know was a pleasant surprise. I wasn't ready to let go whenever I finished this book. It's definitely one that I could see myself reading over and over again. I'm positive that fans of YA LGBT novels will fall in love with Olivia and Zoey's story!

**I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review with no compensation.
